Multicultural Community Outreach Intern (Spanish speaker)

Do you have an interest in community education, event outreach and a desire to do work that’s good for our community?

C+C is looking for an intern with great organizational and people skills to help with multicultural marketing campaigns and community events outreach. This is the perfect opportunity for the right applicant to jump into a high-level outreach situation and get their hands dirty, have some fun and see what it takes to do successful multicultural community outreach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Event planning, implementation and being part of a team doing on-the-ground outreach
  • Working with the C+C team to plan, launch, execute and evaluate multicultural campaigns that include community-based social marketing, outreach, event, and other tactics
  • Working with internal account teams, cross-functional content and creative teams to exceed project expectations

The successful candidate will have:

  • Native fluency in Spanish and English in both verbal and written language
  • Experience in event planning and community grassroots outreach
  • Have experience or a strong interest in working on multicultural campaigns aimed at educating community on a variety of social issues
  • Mad organizational, problem solving and multitasking chops
  • Amazing writing and translation skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • People skills, patience, flexibility and a sense of humor are a must-have
  • Prior work experience with community organizations is a plus
  • Familiarity with the basics of marketing, public relations and social media campaigns
  • A four-year college degree

Marketing/Communication Intern (Boston)

C+C is looking for a highly motivated, outgoing intern to assist with work on various accounts. C+C is a “good guy” public relations and social marketing firm with offices in Seattle, Portland, Boston and Washington DC. Our motto is DO GOOD WORK!

We work with clients that positively impact their communities by inspiring people to choose energy-efficient LEDs over traditional energy-sucking bulbs; opt for sustainable seafood; take public transit; save water; recycle; compost; protect shorelines; and carpool, to name a few causes. We work at the local, regional and national level, helping to develop and promote some of the most innovative and recognizable sustainability efforts in the nation. Along with executing top-notch social marketing and media relations campaigns, we also have expertise in video, creative services, social media, multicultural strategy and branding.

As an intern, you will help assist with the planning, development and execution of communications plans; coordinating account logistics; various administrative tasks; and marketing duties as assigned. Duties vary greatly, but will include writing, research, creative and project management. We are seeking organized, creative self-starters who are passionate about a particular cause or social issue.

Our ideal interns have:

  • A four-year degree (or pursuing) in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated writing skills
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and be self-directed
  • An understanding of basic marketing and media relations concepts

Energy Efficiency Program Implementation Intern

C+C works with utility partners and a wide variety of manufacturers and retailers to bring energy savings to residential electric customers throughout the region. These programs involve thousands of products that save energy, water, and money for utility customers. From contracts and product support to partner relationships and store visits, C+C ensures the successful implementation and marketing of these programs from start to finish.

C+C is looking for a talented Program Implementation Intern to join the program implementation team. The intern will help C+C support Puget Sound Energy’s (PSE) Residential Energy Management and Snohomish County PUD’s retail rebate programs in day-to-day project execution. Taking direction and working with C+C program management, the intern’s responsibilities will include:

  • Qualifying products for inclusion in the program and updating qualifying products lists
  • Updating C+C’s custom Salesforce-based CRM and products database
  • Creating and updating agreements with retailers, manufacturers and utility partners
  • Managing material orders from the field
  • Assisting management in development of quarterly reports and other metrics reporting
  • Staffing events and visiting retailers throughout the region

The Program Implementation Intern will receive extensive on-the-job training in energy efficient products, retail energy efficiency programs as well as data systems and internal policies and practices.

Ideal candidate will:

  • Have a great attitude with excellent time management skills
  • Be interest in energy efficiency, data management, project management and/or marketing
  • Have demonstrated writing skills
  • Have superior attention to detail
  • Be helpful, professional and a quick learner
  • Be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Have experience working with databases such as Access as well as CRM systems
  • Have basic experience with and knowledge of design and layout software such as InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
